Because dogs need holidays too.

Cotswold Dogs is more than just home boarding. We aim to create an environment and experience that will give your dogs a great holiday, while you enjoy yours with complete peace of mind.

about-us-newSet in the heart of the Cotswolds our farm house barn, just off the kitchen to our home, has been transformed into a state-of-the-art boutique dog house. High ceilings, exposed brickwork, beautiful crystal chandeliers and canine art adorn the walls all contributing to the woof factor for a perfect doggie staycation.

By day your dogs can socialise, explore, play, splash in streams and happily frolic in the charming countryside; and at night, content and spent, sleep cosy and tight. It’s what canine dreams are made of.

From the moment we pick them up from your doorstep, to the moment we drop them back home, your dog will be fitter, refreshed and happier for the experience.

Owners of three dogs, we (Emma & Alex) have also been looking after other people’s dogs for over a decade and have always shared a love of dogs. We started working for other dog walking companies in London, before deciding to set up on our own and founding ‘A Bit of Ruff’ in 2010, a top end dog walking daycare and boarding company looking after dogs in West London. ‘A Bit of Ruff’ was a great success but when the perfect slice of paradise in the Cotswolds became available we knew that our dream of moving to the countryside and having a high-end dogs retreat could finally become a reality.

You can teach young and old dogs new tricks…

In addition to their luxury stay, at Cotswolds Dogs your four-legged friends needs can be further catered for by our trusted trainer.

Working with Terri Hosford, a dog trainer and behaviourist specialist, can be an immensely rewarding experience for your dog. Terri trained under the highly respected celebrity dog trainer Steve Mann from BBC3’s Underdog show. Studying animal psychology, behaviour and learning as well as every day training techniques has taught her the ability to turn around the most ‘troublesome’ and ‘naughty’ dogs. Terri works on a one-on-one basis and will ensure your dog’s unique behaviour issues will be expertly handled, including toilet training, lead training and recall. Terri also retrains older dogs who are displaying ‘weird’ and even ‘negative’ traits.

“Thank you Terri Hosford for an amazing session with Genghis! “We despaired of Duke, our Border, never behaving in a dog civilized way. And then we met Terri and in a matter of hours, Duke was changed into a well behaved gentleman!”

Anita Burgh and Duke the Boarder Terrier.

“I was at my wits end with barking, jumping up and general uncontollable exuberance from my young lab Charlie, but he has become polite and obedient since working with Terri. She saved my sanity and my hearing!”

Tessa Blakeway and 2 year old Chocolate Lab Charlie
